The dry air and high heat attacked the batteries for the solar. The water had evaporated and needed to be filled. It took a whole ice cream bucket of water to fill them. The batteries were acting "confused" once they got the water, but came back well. One of the voltage/current monitors went out, but after little tweaking it did come back on as well. The monitor has been giving grief for awhile now too. Guess it comes with age and extreme heat. It takes some pretty tough stuff to live through the summer heat in the desert. I don't know how the birds and other wildlife do it.
