Another week gone by

 The week started out warm and then cold. Well to me it was cold. I don't call 62º warm and then throw in a wicked north wind on top of that. The ole propane heater was brought out of the shed and back into use. This coming week is up and down temps too. Such is spring when the temps fluctuate all over the country.

Mark vacuumed the porch rug for the last time this week. It is so hard to push in any direction but one. So off to Lowes to get a new rug for the porch. As luck would have it we found one that was a lower nap and not as thick and at a price we couldn't believe. So we bought it. Ok, one problem, we drove to Lowes in the SmartCar. Opps. So after we paid for the rug we asked the clerk if we could come back shortly to pick it up with the truck. Once home we had to put insurance on the truck, again. And then we decided to just leave the insurance on the truck. It was cheaper to leave it on then to pay insurance for one day.

Once the rug was home we began taking things off of the porch to remove the old rug. The new rug fit perfectly and looks richer and more like us than the Aztec or Texan design on the old rug. The plain gray is more our style. It still looks nice with the house trim and the cabinets, in fact better.

Lola got her hair cut and the groomer kind of goofed and gave Lola her summer cut. So Lola is a bit on the chilly side most days and every evening. I guess I wasn't specific enough when speaking to the groomer. Oh well, it is warming up soon enough. In the mean time Lola is indoors. Heck she is indoors most of the time. She is NOT an outside dog. She much prefers her bed or our couch. The little stinker.
